Bluegrass Harmonica Page by Glenn Weiser

wpe1.jpg (6267 bytes) Although the harmonica is not considered  a legitimate bluegrass instrument by purists, it is capable of playing music in this style and can be heard on the original version of banjo wizard Earl Scruggs' Foggy Mountain Breakdown.
Here is a bluegrass harmonica solo from my book Blues and Rock Harmonica to try. Goin' Down the Road Feelin' Bad has been performed by everyone from Woody Guthrie to the Grateful Dead.
Watch YouTube clips of Glenn sitting in on harmonica with bluegrass mandolin legend Frank Wakefield on 10/3/07.
