Glenn took formal classical guitar lessons with maestro Paul Battat and studied music theory while in high school, and switched to steel-string acoustic guitar shortly afterwards. He subsequently learned mandolin, banjo, harmonica and fiddle. His first book, Fiddle Tunes for Harmonica, was published in 1987 and was followed by several other volumes on fingerstyle guitar and harmonica. He has also written for Acoustic Guitar, Blues Revue, King Biscuit Time, Acoustic Musician and Sing Out! magazines. From 2005 to2012 he was a music critic for the alternative newsweekly Metroland of Albany NY. Glenn performs at festivals, coffeehouses, nightclubs, and weddings. He has a CD available of his arrangements of Celtic fingerstyle guitar solos.
